A warrant has been issued for a suspect wanted in connection with the killing of a Lake Havasu City man.
Lake Havasu City police said Wednesday that a no bond, nationwide extraditable warrant charging Jeffrey Paul Costa with second-degree homicide was issued by the Mohave County Justice Court.
They say the 43-year-old Costa is believed to still be in the southern California area as he has ties to Long Beach.
Authorities say 62-year-old Wayne S. Lopez was found in his Lake Havasu City home on Nov. 3 with severe head injuries. He died the following day at a Las Vegas-area hospital.
Police investigators say Costa is related to the victim and was staying at Lopez's home. They also say he was driving Lopez's car, which hasn't been located yet.
