The suit was filed in Philadelphia by lawyer Jeff Anderson on behalf of the unnamed client. Anderson said the suit was filed in Philadelphia because that is where some of the alleged acts happened.

The man says Sandusky abused him in a Penn State locker room, on trips to Philadelphia and a bowl game, and at the Sandusky home in State College, Pa.

The plaintiff said in a statement issued by his lawyer soon after the filing, "I am hurting and have been for a long time because of what happened, but feel now even more tormented that I have learned of so many other kids were abused after me."

The man also says Sandusky threatened to harm him if he told anyone about the abuse.

The suit also names The Second Mile charity as a defendant.

The man says he met Sandusky through The Second Mile, and that the abuse occurred between 1992 to 1996.

The man met Sandusky at age 10 and is now under 30. He is not among those whose abuse is detailed in a grand jury report.

Sandusky is accused of sexually abusing eight boys over a 15-year period. He acknowledges he showered with boys but denies molesting them.

There are eight counts in the civil suit and each demands more than $50,000 in damages.
