(NewsCore) - Mitt Romney on Saturday won the 2012 Republican presidential straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C.
Romney won 38 percent of the straw poll, which counted the votes of 3,408 conservative activists attending the conference.
Rick Santorum placed second with 31 percent, followed by Newt Gingrich at 15 percent and Texas Rep. Ron Paul at 12 percent.
