'X Factor' Melanie Amaro Stars in Pepsi Super Bowl Commercial

(EndPlay Staff Reports) - Melanie Amaro, the first U.S. "X Factor" winner, is going from one big stage to a bigger stage this weekend when she makes her big debut outside of the Fox talent show arena in a Pepsi Super Bowl commercial.

The powerhouse vocalist will be starring alongside legendary Grammy winner Sir Elton John, who plays a "king of rock" in the commercial.

Although the full commercial hasn't been released, it was revealed that Amaro will be playing a rock princess performing in a talent show for the "king," in order to obtain a treasure – the treasure being Pepsi.

In a behind the scenes video of the shoot, Amaro dressed in a purple royal gown standing in the king's court. In one of the clips features a soundbite of the "X Factor" winner belting out a clubesque version of the song "Respect," made famous by the "Queen of Soul," Aretha Franklin.

Starring in Pepsi commercial with musical "royalty" was a big deal for Amaro.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be starring in a Pepsi Super Bowl commercial, following in the footsteps of some of music's biggest legends," Amaro said.

But she seems to be fitting right in.

Her musical legend co-star, John, said of Amaro, "She oozes personality. You can see it by talking to her. She's very voluptuous. She's cheeky. She's fun."

And Amaro told Entertainment Weekly that John was "really nice" and had a lot of encouraging things to say to her. However, she didnt reveal much else about the commercial, saying she didn't want to give away any surprises.

The Pepsi commercial, "King's Court," will debut in its entirety this Sunday during Super Bowl XLVI.
