'Idol' Contestant Paul McDonald Weds 'Twilight' Actress Nikki Reed

(NewsCore) - "American Idol" season 10 contestant Paul McDonald has married "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed, Us Weekly reported.

The couple exchanged vows Sunday at a private ranch in Los Angeles, a representative for Reed confirmed. About 100 guests joined the couple for the ceremony.

Reed, 23, and McDonald, 27, told Us they "couldn't be happier" after tying the knot.

"[We were] surrounded by our family and friends," they said in a statement. "We're so glad this day has come!"

They announced their engagement in June after dating for less than two months.

The couple met in March at the Los Angeles premiere of "Red Riding Hood." At the time, McDonald admitted he had never seen any of the "Twilight Saga" films, in which Reed plays Rosalie Hale.

"It was weird," he said. "I haven't ever actually watched any of her movies. I don't know too much of her career at all, but the person she is -- is super cool."

They began dating in April, shortly after McDonald was eliminated from "American Idol."
