(NewsCore) - Greg Kelly returned to his post next to Rosanna Scotto anchoring FOX 5's "Good Day New York" on Friday morning, thanking viewers for their support over the past two weeks.

It was Kelly's first broadcast since he was accused of rape by paralegal Maria Di Toro more than two weeks ago.

The NYPD commissioner's son took a leave of absence from his hosting duties on the local morning show following Di Toro's claims.

The Manhattan district attorney's office announced Tuesday evening that it would not be charging Kelly with rape, and it was announced Wednesday that Kelly would return to "Good Day."

Kelly, who did not directly address the rape allegations against him, said he was "grateful for the support for his family from FOX 5 and for the viewers who weighed in through social media." Kelly added that he was "especially grateful to this woman sitting next to me, Rosanna Scotto."

Scotto then told Kelly they were "going right back to where we left off." And Kelly said, "I'm not sure about that."

He then received applause in the studio, which could be heard on air.

Kelly, who had introduced the morning's top stories before addressing his return, then threw to the show's meteorologist, who said he was happy to have Kelly back and wanted to know where Kelly got the silver tie he was wearing.

FOX 5, the New York Post and NewsCore are all owned by News Corp.
