(EndPlay Staff Reports) - What do you get when you force an assortment of wannabe pop stars to form groups and perform together? A lot of squabbling apparently, as viewers found on Thursday night's episode of "American Idol."
The 185 contestants who made it to the second Hollywood round were given a challenge: Four or five contestants must team up, pick a song, arrange it for their voices and perfect their choreography. Here's a quick rundown of what happened:
A number of contestants, including Alisha Bernhardt, had trouble forming a line up. Bernhardt insisted on finding a group to do Three Dog Night's "Joy To The World," but didn't find any takers.
Amy Brumfield was fighting some kind of illness. Over the course of the episode, viewers watched as she got sicker. However, Brumfield said that she'll get over her cold because Jesus is on her side.
Bernhardt and Brumfield were not the only ones dealing with drama: Hee Jun Han and Richie Lawson, also known as Cowboy, struggled in their group, too. "All my friends are gonna watch and laugh at me," Han said about their performance plans. Cowboy, however, was more enthusiastic, "We're gonna do this my way, and that's it."
Symone Zaire Black, the girl who took a spill off the stage in Wednesday's episode, returned. She was OK. She apparently was dehydrated and was not eating enough.
Ready for more "Idol"? Catch group performances and more at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 on Fox.
