An update from the Shelby County Sheriff's Department on the wave of storms that swept through the Mid-South:

Deputies responded to 44 storm-related incidents, 34 involving trees blocking roadways.

Other concerns involved traffic crashes and downed power lines.

The majority of damage was in north Shelby County bordering Raleigh, Bartlett and Millington.

Sheriff's Deputies continue to assess damage caused by the storm that moved into Shelby County this evening.

Parts of Highway 14 near Bartlett are blocked by trees that have blown over.

There are trees down along Highway 64 near Lakeland and other areas in east and northeast Shelby County including the intersection of Raleigh-Millington at New Allen.

There have been no reports of serious injuries.

Reserve Deputies and volunteers with the Sheriff's Emergency Services Bureau are assisting Deputies as they look for storm damage in the unincorporated areas, Lakeland and Arlington.
