KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee guard/forward Shekinna Stricklen is the Southeastern Conference player of the week for a third time this season.
The SEC announced the honor Monday, a day after the fourth-ranked Lady Volunteers wrapped up their regular season.
In wins against Mississippi, Kentucky and LSU in the past week, Stricklen shot 63 percent, averaged a team-best 15 points and had 6.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
The sophomore from Morrilton, Ark., tallied her sixth career double-double and fourth of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds against the Rebels.
Tennessee travels to Duluth, Ga., on Friday as the top seed in the SEC tournament and will face the winner of the Mississippi-South Carolina matchup.
