Munford, Tn - 17-year-old Jacob Brown says he feels so bad about killing James and Bertha Walker that he's tried to kill himself and is on suicide watch in the prison facility he's being kept in.

"I'm so sorry, you have no idea. I cry for them every night. I am plagued with flashbacks and hear screams."

When asked during the sentence phase of his murder trial why he killed the Walker's January 18th of 2011, Brown said he didn't know. But says he's heard voices for years.

"They're demons. They tell me to kill people and kill myself."

A doctor called by the defense says Brown is a schizophrenic who was off his meds the day of the double murder in Munford, TN.

His mother says he was a good child who had become withdrawn and depressed. His dad begged the court to allow him to hold his son before he goes to prison for life.

Before deciding if Brown would get life with or without parole, prosecutors played a tribute to the Walker's with pictures from their younger days and then their twilight years together.

Two of the Walker's three living children spoke about the impact their parents brutal murders have had on their family.

Prosecutors said Brown tortured the Walkers by beating them more than a dozen times each with an aluminum baseball bat.

Jacob Brown was sentenced to life without parole.
