This is the man police say broke into a 2000 Corvette cutting through the convertible top stealing a leather coat earlier this month. The criminal act was caught on tape. Monday detectives saw the suspect Grant Bush off Germantown Road and stopped him for a traffic violation.

After the stop they discovered a bottle of pills, GPS and satellite radio units, car stereos plus wallets and credit cards police say were stolen from several vehicles. Police say Bush is a suspect in at least 10 other vehicle break-ins.

With the arrest local law enforcement say right now is a great time think about what you leave in your car.

Lana Sumpter says, "Yeah I'm guilty. I could have been a victim this holiday season."

Police Officers and Sheriff Deputies say with the holiday season upon us thieves are planning to raise their game stealing from the unsuspecting.

Steve Shular with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office says, "Holiday season this is the busiest time of the year for shoppers it's also the busiest time of the year for criminals."

FOX13 News went to a random Memphis shopping center parking lot off Poplar. It was here we noticed most Memphians don't really think about what they leave in their cars. Almost immediately we found Sedrick. He drives a nice Escalade, but Sedrick also left something special inside.

Sedrick McGory says, "Show us what you just left in your car by accident that was a navigation, navigation GPS Garland."

But he's not alone, car after car & truck after truck, GPS units, bags, IPods, purses, even prescription pill bottles. Lana was in a generous mood leaving her GPS on her window and a bag holding her laptop computer on her front seat.

Lana Sumpter says, "You can't replace things like this in the holidays when you're trying to spend your money on your friends and not on stuff you need to get by. Won't be doing it again. Thank you for a lesson learned."
