The United States Marshals Mid-South Fugitive Task Force MSFTF worked last night and early today to capture two violent fugitives. The search concluded with the capture of both fugitives.
Hamza Gibson was wanted by the Detroit Police for Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less than Murder, Aggravated Stalking, Aggravated Domestic Violence, and Felony Firearm Possession. Gibson allegedly attacked a female acquaintance in Detroit and fled to Memphis. Detroit police requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals in Detroit and Memphis. Late yesterday evening, Task Force Members developed information that Gibson was staying near the 4100 block of Tarry Park. When Task Force members arrived, Gibson refused to open the door and Task Force Members had to use a ram on the door to gain entry. After a brief search Gibson was into custody without further incident. Gibson is currently being held at the Shelby County Jail awaiting extradition back to Detroit.
Rochelle Bush was wanted by the Shelby County Sheriffs Office and Memphis Police for Aggravated Robbery and Especially Aggravated Kidnapping due to her alleged involvement with a 2007 robbery of an IHOP restaurant located in East Memphis. Bush's profile was featured on last month's edition of FOX news Mid-South Most Wanted. At approximately 9:00 am this morning, Task Force Members developed information that Bush was receiving medical attention at the Regional Medplex. Task Force Members arrested Bush who was taken to Shelby County Jail East.
These arrests exemplify the determination and persistence all U.S. Marshals Task Forces will go to get their man or women, and bring them to justice.
