Memphis, Tn - There seems to be plenty of interest in the race for Shelby County Mayor. Monday’s Forum was standing room only.
4 of the 5 candidates on the ballot for the May 4th primary appeared at the central library for an event organized by The League of Women Voters.
League President Peg Watkins says, from reading the questions submitted by the public ahead of time, a majority of voters in this election are polling the candidates on what they see as important issues.
“Funding the MED, cutting cost of government, providing better services, implementing the sustainable Shelby Initiative,” said Watkins.
Fox 13’s Tealy Devereaux was at the debate.
