The billboard company Lamar has repurposed digital billboards across the country to display Conan O'Brien's Twitter updates in real time.
According to their microsite aplaceforconan.com , they are doing it with “noble hope of putting a little Conan back in all of our lives.”
Conan hosted The Tonight Show from June 1, 2009 to January 22, 2010, a show previously hosted by Jay Leno who left for prime time. After Leno's dismal prime time ratings, NBC negotiated to bring Jay Leno back to The Tonight Show, and pay O'Brien $45 million to exit the show.
Conan O'Brien has since gathered an immense following on Twitter and Facebook through the "I'm with Coco" campaign.
