Southaven, Ms - New details have surfaced in the Greg Davis investigation.
The Commercial Appeal says an audit reveals big entertainment reimbursements by Southaven's Chamber of Commerce to the Mayor.
The problem is no receipts or proper documentation.
The report says around $75,000 was spent in 2008 and 2009.
The Chamber's attorney Richar Duerr says they launched the investigation a month ago. He was mum on details, but says they're investigating all matters.
Alderman Ronnie Hale says he was in the dark about the Mayor's access to Chamber bucks.
I am curious to why the Mayor would have to have reimbursable funds from the chamber…We're trying to figure out what the receipts were, what the credit card statements are saying, get a copy of that, so we can compare," said Hale. "We don't know what to expect next. Do think this is all there's gonna be? Personally, do not think this is all of it."
This money is in addition to around $170,000 in taxpayer funds that a state audit claims Davis misused on personal spending.
