GRENADA, Miss. - Grenada Stamping and Assembly is expanding its Grenada operations with a $500,000 investment that will create 50 new jobs.

Grenada Stamping, which supplies parts to the appliance, automotive, HVAC/R and off-highway markets, is expanding to accommodate the rapid growth of its solar panel-related stamping business, according to company officials.

Since January 2010, Grenada Stamping and Assembly has created more than 90 new jobs. With this latest expansion, its work force at the Grenada Stamping complex will be 231.

The state provided assistance for the expansion through the Momentum Mississippi Incentives program for upgrades to the smaller, county-owned building. Grenada County also assisted in building upgrades.

The company is a subsidiary of Ice Industries, which is based in Sylvania, Ohio.
