Whitehaven Students Visit Russia

Memphis, Tn - The world is getting a lot smaller for students at a Whitehaven Elementary School. With the help of the internet, they visited a classroom in Russia on Thursday.

The students learned about the language and culture of Russia, and hoped to make friend that span the globe.

During the webinar, the Whitehaven kids performed kids performed some native Russian skits, speaking the language.

"I walked past the boys restroom and I heard a student correcting another student on how to speak Russian," said Whitehaven Principal Tommy Elliot.

Student Ja'bria Hammond is excited, "I just love it so much... I teach it my family."
