Memphis, Tn - A weekend train derailment in East Memphis shut down a section of Poplar Ave. on Sunday.
Most of the affected roadways were back open on Monday morning, but traffic was blocked from Colonial and Poplar East to Mendenhall.
The Norfolk-Southern train jumped the track on Sunday morning. It was pulling 19 box cars at the time of the accident, one of which toppled onto the Poplar Ave.
It was carrying machinery containing fuel and oil, but there were no leaks.
No one was injured in the accident. The incident marks the fifth train derailment in Shelby County since 2006.
