Memphis, Tn - A Memphis radio talk show host is making waves once again. After being silenced for about 24 hours, radio bad-boy Thaddeus Matthews was back on the air Friday.

Some say he went too far last week during an intense interview on his radio show with Republican Congressional Candidate Charlotte Bergman.

She walked out during the interview after Matthews called her names and refused to shake her hand.

Matthews' show is on 1180 AM, but Thursday, his afternoon listeners did not hear him, because the station's owner, Bill Pollack, turned off the transmitter.

Mr. Pollack apparently sympathized with Charlotte Bergman, and told her in a letter, which she posted on her Facebook page, that he would "handle" Matthews.

Pollack turned off the station's transmitter effectively silencing Matthews.

But, Friday, Matthews was back on the air, after getting a judge to issue a temporary restraining order, forcing Pollack to put the station, and Matthews, back on the air.

Although he has taken a lot of heat for his handling of the Charlotte Bergman interview, his listeners seem happy to have him back today.

Matthews has a lease management agreement with Pollack broadcasting, which owns 1180 AM. It basically means that Matthews is the boss of the station. In that contract, he says he has an option to buy the station, and he says he now plans to do that.
