Memphis, Tn - On Monday one of the largest federal drug trials in West Tennessee history begins.

The men on trial are the last defendants in a case waged against a drug trafficking ring run by kingpin Craig Petties.

Security will be at an all-time high given the violence and gang ties associated with this drug ring.

Petties has already pleaded guilty to his part. He's awaiting sentencing on a slew of charges including four murders for hires.

The US Attorney's Office says the two going on trial Monday are cousins, Clinton Lewis, aka 'Goldie' and Martin Lewis, aka 'M'.

Among other things, the cousins are accused of being the organization's hitmen.

Defense Attorney Arthur Horne is not associated with the case, but said, "some of the things you'll hear, alot of the deaths, murders, hits that came about, that occurred, that's really scary stuff."

Because two defendants are on trial at once and the number of witnesses involved, the government expects the trial to take up to 6 weeks.
