Helena-West Helena, AR - The Delta Cultural Center is asking residents of Phillips County to share their photos of Helena-West Helena and other areas of the county as the museum creates a new book about the region's history.
The book, "Helena and Phillips County" is to be part of an "Images of America" series that features about 200 photographs of a particular region. Bill Branch, the curator of the Delta Cultural Center, says he's looking for photos of businesses, churches and social activities, as well as historic photos from the Civil War.
The photographs can be brought to the Delta Cultural Center where they will be scanned.
The book is expected to be published in late 2012 or early 2013.
