Memphis, Tn - Two young ladies who are trying to bring hope to Haiti by horseback.
People gawk when they see them heading into town.
Sisters Brandy and Ashley Nelsey left Michigan in September with 5 horses and a dog named Tae, and not a dollar on them, with a mission from god.
They've been going on the faith and kindness of others for five months now, Brandy and Ashley say they're doing it to deepen their faith, and restore their hope, and to raise money for a charity called the Haiti Water Project. They want to raise $15,000 to build freshwater wells in Haiti. It has been a trip in which they've had blessing after blessing.
They've been traveling on faith alone, and people have been kind enough to feed them and put them up for the night most times.
When they can't find someone to put them and the horses and their dog up for the night, they camp on the side of the road.
The trip has given them deep faith in people, their ultimate goal, to make it to Houston, Texas, and by that point have at least $15,000 raised for their charity.
