WASHINGTON - (Please note that the complete special has been split into two videos for easier viewing.)
Members of the New Olivet Baptist Church are singing patriotic praises some six months after the inauguration of Barack Obama.
Many would argue that Obama's election means more to Memphians than just about anywhere in the world, because of the unique circumstances of the civil rights movement here, the sanitation workers strike and ultimately the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This special Independence Day presentation by FOX13 looks at the parallels of Dr. King's "Dream" with the election of our 44th President, partially through the eyes of one local church whose members say they just had to be there.
