TUPELO, Miss. - The former director of a Tupelo hospice has been dropped from a lawsuit related to a patient's 2006 death.
Dr. Paul White, former medical director of the Sanctuary Hospice House, pleaded guilty in 2008 to misdemeanor charges of aiding and abetting the practice of medicine without a license and one felony count of cyber stalking.
Esther Evans' daughters also filed a civil lawsuit accusing White, the hospice and a nurse of causing Evans death with too much medication.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Jounral reports that U.S. District Judge Neal B. Biggers Jr.'s order signed Tuesday shows the woman's daughters "have resolved their differences" with White.
It wasn't immediately known whether they reached a settlement.
The lawsuit continues against the nurse and facility.
