MEMPHIS, Tenn. - It was a rough Thanksgiving morning for a Memphis Grizzlies player. Hamed Haddadi was arrested for domestic assault.

Police were called to his apartment early Thanksgiving morning after a fight broke out between he and his girlfriend. The girlfriend told police one thing and Haddadi gave a completely different account of what went down in his apartment.

And because of the conflicting reports, both went to jail.

Hours after the Grizzlies beat the Detroit Pistons, an alleged beat down at the home of one of the Grizzlies own.

Memphis police were called to the apartment of Memphis Grizzlies player Hamed Haddadi after a fight between he and his girlfriend broke out. She told police the fight started because she refused sex.

According to police, there was a dispute over a sexual position. They say the girlfriend ran from the bedroom into the bathroom, grabbed a soap dispenser, and then hit Haddadi.

The report says she was “extremely intoxicated”. Police reported seeing a cut on her finger, bruises around her neck, and a black eye. She told police he threw her against the bathroom wall, and then choked her.

Haddadi, they say was bleeding profusely from his right hand and had multiple scratches on his face. He told police she was throwing things at him, and then locked herself in the bathroom. He kicked it open, he says, because he thought she was cutting herself with a knife.

The 7 foot, two inches center signed with the Grizzlies back in 2008. But the Iranian player has struggled with getting off the bench.

Haddadi's future with the Grizzlies is unknown at this time. FOX13 contacted the Grizzlies for comment, but did not get a response.
