NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Dr. Bruce Levy of Nashville, the state's former medical examiner arrested in March on felony marijuana possession charges, will get to keep his medical license.
WTVF-TV reported Thursday that a consent order from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners found Levy guilty of unprofessional, dishonorable or unethical conduct. Instead of pulling his license, the board placed Levy on probation for at least five years.
Levy was arrested after authorities said they found a package of marijuana with his name on it and more of the drug at his hotel room in Ridgeland, Miss.
Levy reached a deal to have all criminal charges dropped if he abides by his supervised probation over the next three years.
The station quoted Levy as saying he's simply focused on complying with his probation.
