Forrest City Teen Accused of Molesting One Year Old Baby

A Forrest City teenager is under investigation for a heinous crime. Arkansas State Police say he may have sexually abused a one year old baby; however, no charges have been filed yet.

Inside one Forrest City apartment is where the mother of a one year old baby says her child may have been sexually assaulted.

"It happened to me when I was young I don't want it to happen to my daughter," said the child's mother Sherann King.

King tells FOX13 News that Friday night she went down the road to get a few things from the store while her children were being watched by her uncle.

While she was gone, the children played with a 15 year old neighbor inside, which is when she believes something terrible happened and King's uncle may have interrupted the act.

King alleges, "He hurried up, pulled up his pants, he didn't have enough time to put on my daughter's pampers."

According to a report filed by the Forrest City Police Department, King found out about the alleged incident when King's uncle, Antonio Lockett, saw the 15 year old suspect in a room with the one year old.

He says the teen had his pants pulled down fully exposed and the baby's diaper pulled to the side.

King says, "My uncle saw her at the edge of the bed with her legs gaped open with his pants pulled down."

The one year old was taken to the Forrest City Medical Center, then to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock to undergo a sexual assault exam. Monday morning investigators stated that they found no sign of penetration.

King says, "Watch your children… you can't trust everybody around your kids, I learned from my mistake."

The investigation has been turned over to the state police Crimes Against Children division, and because of the nature of the case and the age of the child the investigation is sealed.

When the investigation is complete it will be up to a state prosecutor to decide if charges will be filed.
