MEMPHIS, Tenn. - "I had no pulse, no heartbeat, no breathing, I was dead," said cardiac arrest survivor Jim Munn.

Obviously the good news is he survived, thanks to some Memphis Firefighters. Friday, 70-year old Californian Jim Munn just wanted to say thank you to the Memphis Fire Department.

Munn went into cardiac arrest in August. Firefighters did CPR and advanced life support procedures more than 30 minutes on the way to Methodist University Hospital. They did another 50 minutes of CPR once they arrived.

One firefighter says he didn't expect Munn to survive. He says when his battalion chief wanted to talk to him about the incident, he thought he was in trouble.

"He said a gentleman you did a full cardiac arrest on survived. He's back in California, his family is trying to track you down and thank you for what you did," said Memphis Firefighter Doug Harrifield.

The firefighters say being thanked is such a good feeling. Doctors say the firefighters made all of the difference.
