Woman Shot in S. Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis Police are investigating the shooting of a woman in South Memphis Monday night.

The incident occurred sometime after 6:00pm near Hemlock Street near S. Parkway and Bellevue.

According to initial reports at the scene, the 31-year old victim was shot in the back and is being treated by paramedics before transport to The Med. The woman was shot a few blocks away before she drove to Hemlock Street where she was located by police.

Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time.
