Memphis, Tn - Last year, Tennessee passed a law that gave county governments the authority over some federal dollars for free women's health care.
That move essentially ended a nearly 30 year run by Planned Parenthood for the money.
Shelby County awarded the cash to a faith based group, saying that group offered more services and locations than Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood of Memphis and Shelby County is suing the state, saying the move has denied poor women quality health care.
Planned Parenthood also says without the cash, it will face a big budget shortfall, and will have to slash more services.
It's not just Planned Parenthood that's feeling the pinch.
Will Batts from the Memphis Gay and Lesbian Community Center joined Fox 13's Ernie Freeman to explain.
