HORN LAKE, Miss. - A burglary suspect remains at large in Horn Lake, Mississippi after an intended victim ran him off with a few whacks with a crowbar.

According to Horn Lake Police, the suspect took several items of lawn equipment from a garage in the Alden lake subdivision last Saturday. A witness to the theft was able to give investigators a description of the suspect and his vehicle.

A neighbor who had heard about the theft saw a vehicle matching the suspect's pull in front of his residence around noon Tuesday. The homeowner hid in a van with a crowbar, and confronted the suspect as he left the garage with several stolen items.

The homeowner struck the suspect with the crowbar, causing him to drop the items, then followed the suspect to his vehicle, busting out the driver's side window and knocking off the antenna before the suspect sped away.

The vehicle is described as a 90's model regular cab white Dodge truck with obvious damage. The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid-30's, tall, thin, and last seen wearing khaki pants and a light colored jacket.

Anyone with information on this suspect is urged to call Horn Lake Police at 662-393-6174.
