MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital has received a prestigious $8.6 million grant to fuel research in personalized medicine.
The five year grant from the National Institutes of Health will help researchers study how patient's genes influence their response to chemotherapy.
Twelve other research centers received grants for similar research, but St. Jude is the only hospital in the group to focus specifically on children.
