Public Invited to Tiger Lane Grand Opening

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The public is invited to attend the Grand Opening of Tiger Lane outside the Liberty Bowl on Wednesday, September 8 at 7:30pm.

The lights will be turned on at exactly 7:30pm, lighting up the new tailgating area that has been under construction since June.

Representatives from the University of Memphis, the Southern Heritage Classic and AutoZone Liberty Bowl will join Memphis Mayor A C Wharton to flip the switch.

Those who plan to attend should enter the area from the East Parkway South Entrance, Access Gate 9.

The 120 tailgating spots for the first six University of Memphis Tigers home games have already sold out.
