Former East High Teacher Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A former East High School teacher plead guilty on federal drug charges.

Emily Tubb, 33, who also is known as Emily Magill, was indicted in March accused of possessing with intent to distribute Adderall, alprazolam and heroin.

There was no allegation that she was trafficking drugs on school grounds.

Tubb, who was in the English department at East High School, was arrested after she was found in two meth houses, including the Southaven home of her former husband, Mark Magill.

Adderall is an amphetamine commonly used for attention deficit disorders. Alprazolam, also known as Xanax, is used to treat disorders including anxiety and depression.

She will be back in federal court December 2nd for sentencing.
