MDOT Director Court Date for Public Intoxication

BILOXI, Miss. - A Mississippi State Transportation official is headed to court, facing a charge of public intoxication.

Larry "Butch" Brown was arrested Friday morning at the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi. Police said brown was drunk and unconscious when casino security found him slumped over a slot machine.

Brown said he was not drunk and the incident was just a misunderstanding.

The 67 year old is the Executive Director of the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

He's due in court September 13th.
