MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Two men have been arrested in connection to robberies targeting Hispanics.
The robberies took place in the Macon/ Berclair area and Court Avenue/ Cleveland area. The robberies occurred July 12th-July 15th, 2010.
The suspects primarily targeted Hispanics in apartment complexes heavily populated by Hispanic residents.
The suspects robbed their victims by pretending to be law enforcement officers while wearing a green shirt with a Shelby County Sheriff's logo and badge on it.
The suspects were driving a 2010 red Ford Focus.
39-year-old John Lenahan and 39-year-old Matthew Bearden have been charged with three counts of Robbery.
Investigators believe that there are cases that have not been reported. The Memphis Police Department is sending Spanish speaking officers in the area to locate additional victims.
