MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Two people in Memphis officials believe cast multiple votes in 2006 have been indicted on voter fraud charges.
According to a news release from the office of Shelby County District Attorney General Bill Gibbons, 69-year-old Anne Enochs voted more than once in the primary and general elections that year. Fifty-two-year-old James Golden is accused of casting two votes in the general election.
Both were arrested and released on their own recognizance.
The cases were investigated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and indictments against additional people are possible.
Gibbons said the indictments do not allege that any candidate or campaign was involved in voter fraud.
