S. Memphis Woman Sets Self on Fire

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A woman accidentally set herself on fire in South Memphis early Friday morning.

Fire fighters say the 47-year old woman was putting on rubbing alcohol while smoking a cigarette when she ignited her sofa.

The incident happened just before 2:00am on the 1400-block of James Street.

The blaze spread to the front of her house, before firefighters could get the flames under control.

The woman suffered burns to her arms and feet.

Another person, a 66-year old man, was also taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
