Wells Fargo Lawsuit Hearing Held at U of M

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Steve Cohen Friday announced Friday a House Judiciary Subcommittee he chairs will hold a field hearing at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law on Monday, July 19 at 10 a.m.

The hearing will focus on the fair housing lawsuit against Wells Fargo filed by the City of Memphis and Shelby County, bankruptcy issues as they relate to home foreclosures, and the foreclosure problem in Memphis from the viewpoint of academic researchers and community development organizations.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (MI-14) will attend the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law field hearing.
