Free Air Conditioners to Battle Heat

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - As the oppressive heat continues to bear down, several organizations have donated air conditioners to Shelby County.

Thursday afternoon, Interim Mayor Joe Ford announced that the county received about $10,000 worth of air conditioners from Memphis Building Trades Council and $2,500 worth of air conditioners from Lowes and Electrolux Appliances.

The units will be delivered to folks who don't have working AC units.
