MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Chain pharmacy CVS is moving along with plans to move into a Mid-Town sanctuary.
Thursday, representatives from the store will go before the Land Use Control Board to resolve zoning issues, concerning the Union Avenue Methodist Church.
The company has already forked over more than $2 million for the land, and has filed an application to buy it.
Memphis Heritage, a local group looking to save the church, said it's on the National Register of Historic Places, and wants developers to reconsider building there.
