Victim Dies in North Memphis Shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The violence from the Fourth of July weekend trickled into the start of this week, and another person is dead after being shot on the streets of Memphis.

Around 10:00pm Monday night, Memphis Police say a teenager was shot near the intersection of Breedlove Street and Keel Avenue in North Memphis.

A witness says someone in an SUV drove up and opened fire while the teenager was walking to a store at the corner.

He was shot three times and taken to the hospital in critical condition.

He was pronounced dead a few hours later.
