LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Republican Congressman John Boozman says if he is elected to the Senate he wants to bring down government spending, and he brought the Republican leader in the Senate to Little Rock to drive home the point.
Boozman said Tuesday that the government should lower taxes and work to help small businesses as a way to improve the economy. Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky says the GOP is confident that Boozman can defeat Democratic Sen. Blanche Lincoln, who is running for a third term.
McConnell also appeared at a fundraiser for Boozman. Boozman would not say how many people attended or how much he raised.
