MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Monday afternoon, Crystal Thomas, along with more than a dozen others, continued their search for Crystal's missing brother Marlon in a wooded area off Covington Pike.

"It's been more than 3 weeks and it's been rough for everyone, but we have not given up on hope," said Crystal.

The area they were searching has been dubbed 'Trash Lake' by locals, where piles of discarded beds, clothes, mattresses, car seats and the like are dumped without care.

Family and friends tell FOX13 News Memphis Police found Thomas' missing car last Sunday. Investigators searched for clues inside the car, but found no signs of foul play.

"We're left clueless and we don't know what to do, but were not going to give up."

So the team hit 'Trash Lake' and the surrounding area searching for any other clues. While they were hoping for the best, they remain prepared for the worst. Monday, they were looking for a body.

"I might be looking in the wrong places but I've got to continue to look until he's found, whether it's for good or for the bad," said Crystal.

After searching under and around everything in sight, the team was unable to find a clue as to why Marlon Thomas has been missing for 3 weeks, or where he might be now.

"I'm going to keep my word as being his sister," pledged Crystal. "I'm going to continue to look for him, I'm not giving up."

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Marlon Thomas, you are urged to contact MPD's Missing Persons Department at (901) 636-4479 or Memphis Police at (901) 545-2677.
