Man Arrested for S. Memphis Murder

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a young woman in South Memphis Tuesday night.

35-year old Michael Waddell was arrested Wednesday at the Bellevue Inn and charged with second degree murder for the death of 24-year old Shela Harris.

Harris was shot when she tried to break up a fight between Waddell and another man on the 3700-block of Browning Ave. near Pendleton and Lamar around 11:00pm.
