MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Seniors are helping seniors.Thursday, senior companions were honored at Christ United Methodist Church, during a special MIFA luncheon.

They were recognized for helping keep the community's elders active. Senior companions do just about everything from light house keeping to running errands to just lending an ear.

Honorees say they don't need special recognition for doing something they enjoy.

The senior companion program is part of MIFA.
