LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Samples from four airmen at Camp Robinson have been sent to an air base in Texas to determine whether they have swine flu.
Capt. Chris Heathscott says that the four samples have been sent to Brooks Air Force Base for testing and may come back as early as Monday. State health officials on Friday said that the state's first confirmed swine flu cases came from four airmen from Nevada and New Jersey training at Camp Robinson and from a school child in Lawrence County.
Twelve airmen have shown flu-like symptoms, Heathscott said. Four tested positive for the virus, four tested negative and four test results are pending. The test results are pending from three out-of-state airmen and from an instructor from Arkansas who showed symptoms on Saturday, Heathscott said.
