Forbes Who? Memphis is Number One

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Forbes Magazine recently named Memphis one of the most miserable cities in America, but Memphis actually tops the list in several areas: entertainment, service, and real estate.

The Memphis Zoo is home to panda bears and Teton Trek, one of most innovative zoo exhibits in the country. Just a few reasons the Memphis Zoo was named the best zoo in the country .

"One of the great things about our zoo is we are constantly trying to change the zoo to improve it, to make it a better zoo," says Tiffany Langston with Memphis Zoo Communications.

A world class zoo in a city where the customer is king, Automd.com named Memphis the top city for getting your car repaired.

"We get a lot of people that call me wanting to have a bulb put in and I'll throw it in and not charge them anything," says Brian Massey of Brian Massey Imports.

Brian Massey Imports was named the car repair shop winner in the Commercial Appeal's "Memphis Most."

"Its all about being honest, taking care of the customer, realizing the customer's concerns come first and foremost, doing quality work," says Massey.

You have a place to take your car now a place to park it. Memphis is a great place to put down some roots, according to U.S. News and World Report . The Bluff City is number for real estate steals, based on a price to income ratio.

Justin Sharpe says downtown properties can't be beat when compared to price per square foot in other large cities.

"It makes it still affordable for someone who wants that urban downtown lifestyle but doesn't want to pay the high prices," says Sharpe. "There are great deals out there for everyone."
