Cat Missing For 53 Days Found in Snow

From MyFox National Reports

(MYFOX NATIONAL) - After going missing for months, a cat has been reunited with her family.

In September the Schnieber family lost their cat named Millie at Flying J's truck stop in Cheyenne, Wy. "As we were driving across the parking lot to another pump, she bailed out the back window," said Millie's owner Bruce Schnieber.

After giving up hope, the family from New Mexico received the phone call they had been waiting for, 53 days later. During a snowstorm last week, Scott Alexander and his family found Millie buried in snow on the side of I-25.

"At that time, we saw just her back paw move just a little bit, and I said, 'Oh my gosh, she's alive,'" Alexander said. "Her body felt like an ice cube. Nothing worked ... I didn't think she would make it."

Alexander adds that when she woke up, Millie was blind and would run into things. "She was very uncoordinated. But as you can see, she's back!"

In a twist of fate, Alexander is a former worker at the San Diego Humane Society. The Alexanders quickly met up with the Schniebers for a wonderful reunion.
