(MYFOX NATIONAL) - A man allegedly carried out a drive-by shooting that targeted his ex-girlfriend's house, but he forgot to do one thing -- roll down his window.
City Pages reports that Andrew J. Burwitz, 20, of Appleton, Wis., was charged with four counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, four counts of endangering safety by reckless use of a firearm, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
The Appleton Post-Crescent writes that the occupants in the home were awakened by the sound of breaking glass and saw a car driving off. Bullets were found on the exterior of the house and three had entered the living room, but no one was injured. Sheriffs were led to Burwitz after they found shards of glass in the street and traced him to a local auto glass repair shop where he replaced his window after filing an insurance claim.
In September a man confessed to having killed the wrong person when he carried out a drive-by shooting in Austin.
